All Board Members of the Goose Pond Lake Association share a love of the pond and an appreciation for the environment in which we live.  Each member brings a unique set of skills and expertise to the Board.  The Board of Directors is nominated and elected to one year terms by a majority vote of the members present in good standing at the Annual Membership Meeting. President/SecretaryMichael Riese has served on the Board since 2009, and was re-elected President for a eleventh term in 2020.  Michael brings many years of management, sales experience, and working with people.  He and wife Allison live year-round on Goose Pond.  He has served as a Weed Watcher, worked on the latest Welcome Package Project, participates in the annual loon census, and publishes the GPLA newsletters.  Michael, with able assistance from Allison, currently spearheads the Goose Pond water quality sampling for both the UNH and DES programs.  (ongoosepond@gmail.com)        

 

Vice-President: Ken Milkie was elected to the Board in July 2018. His family has been visiting the pond since the late 70’s. He and his family built a home on Cove Rd. and moved to the pond after his retirement from United Technologies. Ken is the secretary/treasurer of the Granite Acres Property Owners Association and a member of the Lyme Pinnacle Snowmobile Club. He enjoys boating, sailing, and snowmobiling. TreasurerRick Hutchins has served on the Board since 2009, maintains the GPLA mailing list, manages the GPLA website, and has published the Calendar and Coffee Table book.  He served as Secretary from 2011 to 2016, and took over Treasurer duties in April 2016. Rick has over fifty years of teaching and coaching experience, twenty-five years of computer expertise using spreadsheets and databases, designing websites, assisting small businesses with financial problems, and experience with non-profits. Terry Bradigan was elected to the Board in 2013 and served as Treasurer until April 2016. Terry had a successful dental practice in Hanover until his recent retirement.  As a year-round resident (except for a few months in Florida during the winter) of Goose Pond with wife Kate (former member of the Board), they have been vacationing on the pond since 1997.  (tbradigan75@yahoo.com)       

Ted Simpson was elected to the Board in July 2018. Ted has owned a cottage on the pond for over 30 years, and has recently been turning the 1940's camp into a "Lake house", where he and wife Mary Ellen will live summers and spend winters in Arizona. He is an avid outdoorsman and has been a home builder in the area for almost 40 years, and has decided the only way to retire is to sell his tools. (mtmansimp@yahoo.com)

Jeff Allen was elected to the Board in July 2022. He came to Goose Pond in 2001 while living in Wakefield MA working as a software engineer for Lincoln Laboratory developing many advanced web services and applications for the Air Force.  They rebuilt their "camp" in 2016 and in 2020 he retired and moved up with wife Monica full time. Jeff has been a weed watcher for the last five years and helped with the loon census for the last three years.  In 2023 he will also be running the Lake Host program, taking over from Mike Riese. Pat Armstrong, our newest member, was elected to the Board in 2023. Pat and his wife Beth moved to Goose Pond in 2022, and his father-in-law lives on Mascoma Lake. Pat retired from the Air Force and Marine Reserve and currently works with the MITRE corporation as a cost and business analyst, working with many Federal agencies including DHS, DOJ, VA, DHA, the Army, and the Air Force. Pat and Beth entertain their grandkids on Goose Pond, and Pat enjoys woodworking and motorcycle riding, being a member of the U.S. Military Vets Motorcycle Club. (pkjsarm@hotmail,com)
